Overnight Success? Think again

I love the chart below showing years to revenue for many large companies. I also love the chart from tableausoftware.com and I am looking forward to trying out creating my own visual datasets. The Business Intelligence junkies who read this blog will hopefully share my appreciation for this graph. Go ahead – select one of those lines, or better yet, drag a box to select a group of them.

Cool visualizations aside, its great to see the length of time it takes companies to reach this level. This of course does not plot the previous success and failures which all led to each of these teams ultimate success.

Remember, nothing happens overnight.
