My friend and genius strategist at Wieden+Kennedy Seth Gaffney gave a presentation recently about brands, ads, and ESPN to a group of students at Columbia and I wanted to share it here.

Definitely not the same without a voiceover but hopefully you get the general idea.

It clearly defines how to take the first step in what can be a very complicated process of finding your voice and defining your strategy. Much of what goes on in today’s instant gratification web enabled society is to throw everything up against the wall and see what sticks. Seth clearly maps an argument against that approach and provides a way to focus in on your core beliefs, hopefully saving you a bunch of time.
