I am trying out youare.com which is another microblogging service which is now in private beta (you can sign up directly on the site). You can follow me here. In testing out yet another microblogging service (or YAMS) it got me thinking about the idea of federated microblogging and knowing that the only way I will use another microblogging service is if it will interact well with others I currently use.

Without instant compatibility with other services and the ability to “mass update” I find that using another service to be difficult. I find that YouAre.com is a cross between many other services that are out there – but mixing all of them makes for a confusing dashboard of choices. I agree that it would be cool to have all accounts and services integrated – but I am just not convinced it will happen anytime soon.

You can see a full review of the service with screen shots of YouAre.com at Inquisitr
