Citibank Mobile – not for Tmobile

Citibank Mobile does not support Tmobile. I have been a Citibank customer for quite some time and know that they rolled out the mobile platform some years ago. In that time they have come to support AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon but sadly not TMobile. Certainly this is not a big deal, but in a world of choice and new programs coming out every day it is certainly hard to stick with a service that does not continue to innovate and come out with features that many come to expect from a service.

I recently opened up an account with TDBankNorth simply because they have NO ATM fees – anywhere. This is a drastic improvement over any other bank in NYC, especially considering the amount of ATM’s and branches popping up everywhere. TDBankNorth provides a much needed break from the surcharges of other banks and has great online banking to compliment the service. I have heard that all Commerce banks will now be connected which opens up their footprint in this market.

I feel the days of ATM surcharges will not go away anytime soon, but the smart banks will get converts from paying for these fees. Chase, Citibank, and others have the real estate covered in NYC now – but you really cannot beat the price of free.

Citi Mobile is available for download at Citibank.com to customers in Southern California this week and nationwide this summer. he new service is designed to simplify the transfer of money by using mobile phones. The fee for the service starts from RM 8. Customers will also automatically receive free personal accident coverage along with that.
