NYC Coworking – Interested?

Allen over at Center Networks recently posted about an NYC Coworking opportunity called New Work City that is being put together. Memberships range from $20 for the day to $500 per month for a full time desk, Internet, Conference room, Etc…

This is a great idea for startups and entrepreneurs who want to be working with like minded people. They are currently looking for those interested in sponsoring desks and those looking to signup by April 15th so make sure to check it out over at New Work City.

    Yes, I like this concept too. I even considered sharing my office space, which is ideally located in SOMA, a block from South Park (that's San Francisco, guys).

    Unfortunately, devil is often in the details. For me to open the space would have required significant extra expenses, like making sure sombody is aorund all day, buy more file cabinets with solid locks, etc. I then decided it was finally not worth it in my case. That said, I still believe it is a great idea.

    And last, there is a wiki that lists the existing coworking facilities. coworking.pbwiki.com
