I just upgraded this blog to WordPress 2.5 after a few days of its release. I intentionally waited because the last upgrade I did on a zero day release did not go so well.
WordPress 2.5 is a dramatic improvement in the admin interface over other versions and seems to by running much faster. I have gone through many upgrades and iterations for WP and this one went very smoothly. I still followed the same steps I always do, which is to back everything up, but I have more confidence now in the WordPress platform.
My only problem that still exists is that you still cannot post to WP via email. WordPress accepts the post but deletes the message with the following error:
Mission complete, message 1 deleted.
More information can be found here:

It seems like this fix is slated for 2.6 as seen at the bottom of this post and that cannot come soon enough. The patch seems like a band aid solution so I am going to wait for an official fix.
I am sure there are plenty of people out there who would love to post to WordPress via email but cannot right now.
Overall I still think WP is the best blogging platform and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade, or start blogging.
