This is why the web is great – you can immediately take the pulse of the latest trend by spoof sites that are setup.

For the record I love FriendFeed and you can follow me on FriendFeed now. I would still like to think I was an early adopter to this service…but I digress.

I basically wrote about something similar awhile back about aggregators although slightly more helpful than the site listed above.

I agree that this space is getting a little too crowded. I also think it is worth pointing out that a big reason why this is happening is because the barriers to entry for a small group to build something like this in a weekend are so low. You can have hosting setup and a product built in a very short period of time. I am not trying to slight the work done by the likes of FriendFeed at all, but rather show that you no longer need 6 months of development time. This has been a trend happening for awhile but increasing competition at this level still benefits one group best – consumers (this means you).

If you like FriendFeed, I'd try out socialthing!, so far it's been the best of aggregators. Shoot me an email if you'd like an invite to it.

I would love to try it out. I signed up for the beta awhile back and would be happy to review once I have had a chance to check it out.
