Reprise Media (my employer) recently embarked on a journey with an editor of Ad Age, Matt Creamer, to help him optimize himself within search results. The article featured here (behind a login) was a great project that had great results. It definitely put the spotlight on “vanity searches” which is basically the act of searching for yourself on a search engine. For example, Eric Friedman.

One of my colleagues who put in a tremendous amount of work on this project, Kate Zimmermann, got a chance to do an interview with Matt, and posted it on our company blog Search Views. I will let the interview speak for itself and if you get a chance checkout the AdAge article.
