Business 2.0 Mag to Shutdown

A magazine I have enjoyed and actually subscribe to, Business 2.0, is closing its doors says the NYTimes.

It is funny how I am very hesitant to subscribe to new magazines and have many grandfathers subscriptions for free to great magazines that I would never entertain continuing in the future. I truly liked Business 2.0 and hope that it stays around in some form. I think it was the closest thing to short snippets of relevant (and sometimes even timely) information NOT in blog format that I knew of. It is true I sometimes read most of the content online – but I appreciate how they dissected the magazine and redesigned the presentation to an almost blog-like format. Funny how that resulted in its shutdown.

Since reading the printed Business 2.0 is now out of the question it is on to the next source of data. Anyone have any good suggestions?

I received a promotion from Business 2.0 in the mail yesterday offering me 2 years for the price of one. (I had not renewed my print subscription, and this was about their 5th attempt to get me back.)

Sorry to hear of their demise.

I wonder what they will do with the subs they get now. They may refund – or parlay it into another property. I am definitely sad to see it go.
